The Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve, public benefit company, was founded as the BR administrative organization in August 2004 by:

Forests of the Czech republic, s.e.

Ministry of Environment

MND, a.s.

Břeclav county Chamber of commerce

Czech union of nature conservationists

The administrative bodies of the company are: management board, advisory board, director and the scientific council. The management structure is based on broad participation of all stakeholders of the biosphere reserve.

Management board:

The management board is nine-member statutory body. It includes representatives of the company founders, representatives of the communities of the three regions covered by the BR and one representative of the farming community.

Advisory board:

The advisory board is six-member supervisory body.  It includes representatives of the company founders and one mutual representative of the communities of the three regions covered by the BR

Scientific council:

Scientific council is consultatory, deliberative and initiative body. It comprises of 12 members representing the founders, the Czech national MAB committee, Břeclav county Chamber of agriculture,  the communities of the three regions covered by the BR, Palava Protected landscape area Administration and the National monument authority.
